This is mostly written to myself as potential routes (or actual
routes).
Home to Minuteman to Lexington to Home (16.9 miles)
Home to Moody to Rt. 30/Comm Ave. Left on Comm Ave through the hills
of Newton. Just past 7 miles, left on Chesnut Hill Ave, turning into
Market Street. Cross bridge at Arsenal Street. Take left on Charles
River Road. Right on North Beacon and another left onto Charles River
Rd. at AotC. At Watertown Square, take Main Street and follow all the
way to Moody in Waltham. Left on Moody. Left on high, right on
Newton and right on Myrtle. 15.16 miles.
9.5 miles. Home to River Street. Along River (or
path) to Watertown Square. Up Mount Auburn to School. Left on
School. Left on Belmont. Stay on Trapelo as it splits off to the
right. Left at Beaver Brook. Right on Main, left on Newton to home.
A 16.18 miles
(GPS: 16.5) loop from home, down Moody/Lexington to Comm. Ave.
Comm. Ave. through Newton to Chestnut Hill Ave. Right on Chesnut Hill
and right onto Beacon. Follow Beacon until it dead ends at
Washington. Right past Newton-Wellesley Hospital into West Newton.
Straight across Pike onto Elm. Left on River, right on
Lexington/Moody, right on Myrtle. (For water, intersection of
Washington and Comm. Ave. is ~2.5 and ~13.6. The top of something
called Heartbreak Hill is around 5.75. A little after 8 is the edge
of the reservoir on Beacon. 11.5ish is Beacon and Chestnut.) For an
extra 3.5 before that, try this route up to
Main St., up Lyman, down Beaver to Lexington, then down Moody and back
home for a water stop before doing the route above.
Home to Beaver Brook, left down Trapelo Rd. Without elevation,
7.3 to "Old Country Road" at reservoir. 8.026 around reservoir to
Winter. If continue on Trapelo to Winter and down Winter, 8.09 to
Trapelo and Winter. Total to Winter and Old Country Road: 9.07 miles.
(Longer route is measured.) 14.32 miles.
For an extra 1.75 miles, from Trapelo and Winter, continue on
Trapelo to 5 way intersection of Trapelo, Lincoln, Weston, Sandy Pond,
and Bedford Roads and return to Winter.
For a longer route, instead of returning to Winter, take Lincoln Road
past park. Follow into Tower which turns into Concord. Take to
Boston Post Road/Rt. 20, across highway, to South St. Left on
Charles. Right on Prospect, turns into High. Total milage: 18.4.

Home to School St. in Watertown, up to Belmont, down Trapelo. To Beaver
Brook is 6.87 miles (+~2.8 to home). Continue down Trapelo, left on
Lexington to Moody to home. 12.75 miles
Home, around Brandeis, 117 to Bear Hill Rd, back to home with some odd
diversions at end to get to 12 miles.
